Which export do you need?
Claude Conversation PDF vs Claude's Built-In Exports
Claude can create PDFs and export account data. Those are useful features, but they solve different tasks.
AI Chat Exporter — Existing Conversation
Download the back-and-forth you already had with Claude as a single chat-style PDF. Preview it and optionally remove selected content before saving.
Claude's Native Options
Claude can create PDF files or export Claude Docs. Its account-data export is requested through Settings → Privacy and sent by email. Neither is the same as the extension's formatted PDF of one existing chat.
Use Claude's document tools to create a new file, its account export for account records, or this extension to keep one existing conversation as a readable PDF.
